August 2009: Rob
Q. First off, how did you become a Whovian?
A. To be honest, when the NuWho first started I didn't pay much attention to it, I had previously seen trailers and teasers, but I thought it was just going to be another one of those boring BBC Series that I would never watch again. And, wow, I was certainly wrong there! It wasn't until around the Series One finale I actually watched it, and I loved it so much that I got the DVDs and caught up on the missed episodes!
Q. How are you feeling knowing we've only got 3 episodes left with David Tennant?
A. I remember watching those Television Awards, and I honestly did not expect this announcement! And what made it worse, is that it was live! At first I was so dissapointed and shocked that David Tennant was leaving, but I eventually got over it, Matt Smith looks like a great Doctor, and I'm sure DT's finale will be the best, most special regeneration story yet.
Q. What would you do if you had your very own TARDIS?
A. Surprsingly, the first place I'd go if I had a TARDIS would be Disneyworld! It's bloody amazing! Obviously, I would also like to see planets and travel in time too!
Q. What do you think of the Eleventh Doctor's costume?
A. My first thought was "Bloody hell, what are they doing?!", but now I realise that this 1950s school teacher outfit he has going is rather cool, it's like the Classic Series being re-booted into Doctor Who!
Q. If you could meet any of the Doctor Who cast or crew, who would it be and why?
A. Obviously, David Tennant, he's The Doctor! No doubt about it! He's the reason why I sat down every Saturday to watch the best show in the universe! He's amazing!
Q. We've crossed the half-way mark of the dreaded DW gap year, but has it been as bad as you thought it would be so far?
A. It's more different than I expected, I orginally thought the specials would be spread out a bit more, that we'd have another episode in Summer or something, but I think the fact that the last three are all around the same time, it makes it even much more tense and exciting, which I find is very cruel of RTD to release these trailers so early and not being able to watch them until November and December.
Q. "He will knock four times..." Any ideas?
A. The Master! It's obvious, it has to be him, unless it's Ood Sigma. I used to have a theory it was the creature from Midnight since he knocked on the wall a few times. Time will tell...
Q. Anything else you'd like to say before you go?
A. I'd just like to say a big thanks for choosing me to become Fan of The Month, as I love this site and visit it daily, and it's great to be a part of it!
