May 2009: Steve
Q. How did you become a fan of Doctor Who?
A. Way back in 2005. My parents made me watch this random show before we went out for the evening. I hated it for weeks before eventually getting interested in the Slitheen episodes of Series 1. Well that was it - I was completely obsessed!
Q. What did you think of Planet of the Dead?
A. To be honest with myself and you, I didn't like it at all. It was like a whole episode of not so good effects, and bad acting from Michelle. The bit with the bus did not look 100% real, and I just got the feeling that they didn’t have a lot of time for it… but overall I still enjoyed it!
Q. What's your favourite new series episode and why?
A. My favourite new series episode has to be 'Human Nature'. At first thought it must seem to be a random episode, but out of most of the episodes in the new series, it was one that explored what would happen if The Doctor was wrong about something (where he told Martha not to let him forget her, but he didn’t think that his human self would). Along with that, I thought those human men/scarecrows were amazing - not to over the top with CGI everywhere, and not terrible 'joke shop' masks.
Q. What would you do if you had your very own TARDIS?
A. If I had my very own TARDIS, I think I would go back in time to some major historical events to see what actually happened through my own eyes. Seeing something is always better than being told about it.
Q. What will be your initial thoughts as you sit down to watch David Tennant's last episode?
A. I just want to absorb every piece of information about the episode. At the moment it sounds like a massive episode full of important information – a bit like Turn Left, so I sometimes find missing one piece of information makes the whole plot confusing!
Q. Are you looking forward to his appearance in Series 3 of The Sarah Jane Adventures?
A. I am not really sure; it depends on the storyline and if it fits in with his sudden appearance. But on a general level, I can wait to hopefully see Mr Smith and The Doctor meet!
Q. Anything else you'd like to add?
A. Thank you for letting me be the star turn this month, and well done on such an amazing site!
