September 2011: Annie
Q. So, let's start at the very beginning! How and when did you become a fan of Doctor Who?
A. I became a fan when I was 5 years old. My dad taped every episode from when he started watching Doctor Who in the 70s, so we would watch it all the time. Heck, we even go on Netflix every weekend to watch old and new Doctor Who episodes today! Matt Smith is the best Doctor.
Q. The second half of Series 6 is now underway! Are you liking it so far? Which of the remaining episodes are you most looking forward to?
A. I am loving every minute of it! I am excited to see the last episode! All these unanswered questions!
Q. Which of the Doctor's companions would you say you most identify with?
A. I think I'm like Amy Pond. I am faithful to my Doctor, and I will always be there for him by his side, until he wants to get rid of me! I would be that girl who waited!
Q. An impossible astronaut will rise from the deep, and strike the Time Lord dead. But who IS the astronaut!?
A. Even though we all know from what we saw that River Song is the one., I don't think the Doctor would let her do that. I think maybe he is the one in the suit. He will probably switch with River to kill himself. My dad and I were discussing and we thought maybe Craig is in the suit! After all, he does owe the Doctor for saving him twice! And he said he wanted to help somehow...
Q. Doctor Who will be turning 50 years old in 2013! How do you think the landmark year should be celebrated? A multi-Doctor special? A movie?
A. I think they should have something like a Scrooge kinda thing. Something could be totally wrong and the Doctor will lose faith in everything, and then a couple of Doctors from the past will come back and do the whole past/present/future thing! They have the technology to transfer him into old Doctor Who episodes and show him how important he really is, because he is always saying he is a bad man all the time.
Q. Is there anything in your life that has been directly affected by Doctor Who?
A. Of course! I feel that I can connect with the current Doctor, as I have a lot of things going on in my life these days and like him, I am trying to sort things out to the best of my abilities, trying not to hurt people in the process. Just like the Doctor, I'm always trying the save the world but not trying to really save myself.
Q. This year's series of Torchwood has reached its explosive climax. Did you enjoy Miracle Day?
A. It was interesting to watch. Seeing Jack back again is almost unreal, and to see his side of the story makes it a lot more sense. It is awesome!
Q. What was the last episode of Doctor Who you watched?
A. The last episode I watched was Closing Time!
Q. Is there anything else you'd like to say before you go?
A. I would like to say that this is an awesome website! I love the fact that I can come here everyday and talk about my favorite show with people who will actually listen to what I am saying and not tease me about it. It's difficult to explain what 'Time And Relative Dimension In Space' means to the average non-Whovian! I have also converted 5 people to love Doctor Who! So thank you for fulfilling my Doctor Who fix, and I look forward to watching the final episode of Series 6!
