March 2015: Hunter
Q. First off, how and when did you become a Doctor Who?
A. I became a fan last year when my friend introduced me to the show. It became my favorite thing of all time and I couldn't stop watching Eccleston, Tennant, Smith, and Capaldi. They all made me feel so happy all the time and it felt great to be a part of it.
Q. If you could have one prop from the set of the series, which would it be?
A. I would want a key to the TARDIS because it represents the never ending hope that comes with the adventures with the Doctor.
Q. The revived series of Doctor Who turns 10 years old this month which means that time really DOES fly when you're having fun! What are your favourite memories from the last decade of time and space? There's been an awful lot of running...
A. My favorite memories have to be with Donna Noble. She was by far the funniest out of all the Doctor Who companions and definitely made me feel special. If a temp from Chiswick could do everything that Donna did, then anything is possible. My all time favorite memory from Doctor Who, however, had to be when the Tenth Doctor and Rose are reunited in The Stolen Earth. 'Rose's Theme' was playing and it was just an amazing moment.
Q. It's always fun to delve into the past but it's even more exciting to look ahead to the future. For Doctor Who fans it certainly is an exciting one, as we've a brand new string of adventures on the way this autumn. What are your hopes and wishes for Series 9?
A. My hopes and wishes for Series 9 are REALLY big. I'm hoping that we finally get a sense of who the Twelfth Doctor really is and what he's capable of. His relationship with Clara is extremely funny and entertaining to watch and I can't wait to see more of it! I'm also hoping the end of Clara's time aboard the TARDIS ends happily and isn't as heart wrenching as was Rose's, Donna's, Amy's and Rory's.
Q. The Series 9 premiere will be a two parter called The Magician's Apprentice and The Witch's Familiar and, just in case that wasn't exciting enough, it will also feature the return of Michelle Gomez as the malevolent Missy. Are you looking forward to seeing her again, and what do you think she's got in store for the Doctor and Clara this time round? Say something nice...
A. Missy is amazing as the Master and I'm excited for her to return! She brings a lot to the table every time we see her and it helps that she's really funny, too. I'm hoping we get to see a lot more of her than in just two episodes. By the way, I like that little quote you sneaked into that question.
Q. Speaking of Clara, Steven Moffat has revealed this month that she was originally going to leave at the end of Series 8... but then Jenna Coleman changed her mind! Are you happy that she did? What should lie ahead for our impossible girl in the next series?
A. I'm so happy that Jenna Coleman changed her mind. I feel like her relationship with Peter Capaldi's Doctor is better than ever and will continue to grow. With the sense of excitement that we were left with when the Doctor and Clara left in the TARDIS at the end of Last Christmas, I can't wait to see more!
Q. The Doctor once visited a hotel which had a room for every visitor that contained their deepest, darkest fears. What would be in your room?
A. My room would probably contain a TV with the Bad Wolf Bay scene from the end of Doomsday playing on a loop. I'm serious.
Q. It was International Women's Day this month. Who is your favourite Doctor Who actress and/or female character, and why?
A. My favorite Doctor Who actress has got to be Catherine Tate. She's my favorite because she is by far the funniest person to ever set foot aboard the TARDIS. My favorite part of her time on the TARDIS would be when she and the Doctor met up again in Partners in Crime. There is absolutely nothing better than that scene.
Q. Anything else you'd like to say before you go?
I would just like to say thank you to everyone involved in Doctor Who. Everyone who has ever watched it knows what it feels like to be able to have that sense of hope when you're with the Doctor. Okay, I got to go now! Allons-y! See you soon!
