Memorable Quotes
  • Shakespeare: The Doctor may never kiss you, Martha, why not entertain a man who will?
  • Martha: So, magic and stuff? That's a surprise. It's all a bit Harry Potter!
The Doctor: Just wait 'til you read book 7. Oh, I cried!
  • Lilith: Oh, but your heart grows cold, a north wind blows and carries down the distant... Rose?
The Doctor: Oh, big mistake, because that name keeps me fighting!
  • Shakespeare: How can a man so young have eyes so old?
The Doctor: I do a lot of reading.
  • The Doctor: Just think, when you get back, you can tell everyone you've met Shakespeare.
Martha: Yeah! And then I can get sectioned...
  • Martha: (About the TARDIS) Do you have to pass a test to fly this thing?
The Doctor: Yes, and I failed.
  • Lilith: I gaze upon this bag of bones, and now I name thee: Martha Jones!
  • Martha: Those are men dressed as women, yeah?
    The Doctor: London never changes.
  • Martha: Am I alright? I'm not gonna get carted off as a slave or anything?
The Doctor: Why would they do that?
Martha: I'm not exactly white, in case you hadn't noticed.
The Doctor: Well, I'm not even human. Just walk round like you own the place, always works for me!
